Hey, it’s Friday, and that means it’ time for this week’s Faceless Friday.  Come join me and see what rocked my face off this week! 

Timing.  All my big machines caught on fire this week.  My lawnmower and my car.  The lawnmower right after I finished mowing and my car right as I got home from a doctor’s appointment an hour away.  I’m bummed my shit is fucked up, again, but grateful I got done what needed done in the moment.  That’s the thing people don’t understand about being poor, by the way, both could be an easy fix, but without the money to get either checked by a professional they will sit where they are.  My limited income will be used on figuring out delivery of things and having people pick up things for me.  People on disability aren’t even allowed to have more than $2000 in savings, not that any of us that are trying to get by can save.  So, knowing life is a cha cha and that it all comes and goes rocks my face off. 

Good Showers.  You know the kind.  The kind where you can feel the water on your scalp just right.  Where you notice the water instead of just mindlessly going through the motions.  Where the temperature is just right and the soap smells extra good.  The kind of shower that revives you and settles you simultaneously.  Those moments, and showers, rock my face off. 

Wildlife.  There has been a lot of activity around here after “bedtime” with the creatures that live on the property.  Many of you know I live in the Midwest and the weather here has been down right ridiculous.  Super hot and dry, then stormy and severe for a few days and repeat. All of that to say that about five years ago I set up water “stations” around the property for all the wildlife.  Basically, just old bowls set around that I fill up with water as needed.  Generations of cats, possum, racoon and rabbits have taken advantage of easy to find clean water, and they always seem to find their way up to the big bowl by my door.  It’s no different than the other ones, but apparently is the favorite.  So, every morning I get to review all the camera footage of the critters coming to the door to get a drink and hang out.  It is such a beautiful way to start the day, and that rocks my face off.  

Alright liittle duder will be waking up any minute so I am going to wrap this up.  Here are a few other things that rocked my face off this week: 

Coffee, coffee and the sunrise with all my plants outside, creamer, new coloring books, new music, the hummingbirds being as dramatic and demanding as ever, my big lilies blooming, dots pretzels, clean water, fire extinguisher for lawnmower fire, new leaves on all my house plants!, trusting the plan, being brave, fabric Band-Aids, summer break, water slides, Gain laundry detergent, at home hair, lash and nail shit cause I’m not high maintenance I just look like it, spell check finally figuring out I was trying to spell maintenance, never knowing how to spell certain words and just being okay with it and not ever trying to learn them, and YOU for being here.  Thank you for joining me this week!
