Faceless Friday 1/30/2026

It is Friday again, and that means something around here. Welcome back to Faceless Friday, where yours truly lists out all the things that rocked my face off this past week. A tradition started nearly fifteen years ago, and somehow more important than ever now. I have found through out all of my trials (some literal trials) that an attitude of gratitude really can change things. Let’s get started.

A Great Sense of Humor. Because what in the EVER LOVING FUCK!? If it isn’t my stalker making fake profiles and harassing me online (not even a little bit slick) it’s the fucking government being fascists fucks. And if growing up all throughout the 80s and beyond hasn’t taught me anything, it has at least taught me how to laugh at the ridiculous of it all and know that it will all change again. Yes, of course some of it is not funny at all, but if we do not take a moment to make fun of those we can, that are evil parasites then we are giving up a lot of joy. I did not learn how to make the small minded ego driven assholes in high school cry to not continue to do it now when they try and destroy neighborhoods. We have got to hang on to every ounce of joy, humor and hope we have right now so that we can continue to plant seeds of a better future. We will have a better future, and that rocks my face off, especially since it will be governed by the most badass funny and kind people we have to offer (and we do still have those).

MidWest Badasses. Look, I may be partial because I am a Midwestern, but these folks in Minnesota are fucking giving me LIFE right now. Out there, together, in negative degree weather showing those evil dicks what is up. Striking!! Not only just showing up in force but ALSO showing up in real and practical ways that fuck with the economy, which is, let’s face it, the biggest way to get the attention of anyone. And their honesty and bravery in the face of all of it has been so inspiring. Every one of them that has written a statement against ICE and stood up to the system is a hero. And, and I am just as surprised to say this as anyone, the NRA backing them as well!? Fucking eh. That’s right. Make those assholes backtrack and tell the fucking truth. Also, do we see now how powerful the NRA is? They got the government to change their statement. THEY GOT THE GOVERMENT TO CHANGE THEIR STATEMENT. We are nothing but a corporate war machine. The MidWest being a cog in that machine right now rocks my face off.

Ridiculous Nonsense. Listen, this is the most important, and I need you all to really understand this and get behind it and maybe incorporate it into your daily lives as much as possible. Being absolutely off the wall ridiculous at any given time for no apparent reason if only to give your brain and body a break from carrying the weight of the world. Dance. Watch mindless trash that does nothing for you. Read smut or comics or whatever. Listen to your music too loud. Work out. Go outside and find woods and touch a tree. Look at the night sky and see how vast and magical the whole thing is. Laugh as much as you can. Try and laugh more than you cry. Connect with your people. Send the funny memes and TikTok’s and not just the serious news. Share what brings you joy and peace. Watch horse videos and dog videos or whatever. Do WHATEVER it takes to find JOY every day. Shake your body. Move your body. Do NOT let these bastards win. You matter. We matter. Our happiness matters more than any misery they try to spread. Uplifting ourselves and one another rocks my face off.

And now for the short list of other things that have rocked my face off this week! In no particular order other than coffee… you know the drill.

COFFEE, hazelnut creamer (finally restocked thank goodness), cinnamon in said coffee, little dude finally going back to school the last two days (the weather has been shit here), my old ass hell hounds, supportive people hyping me up for just being me, hot water, electric blankets , warm socks, Carhart overhauls, internet, critical thinking skills, and YOU dear reader for being here yet again this week. Thank you.

All love. All ways. Always.

Craughing Girl.
