Good morning dear hearts, and welcome to Friday. I hope, if you are in my area, you made it through the storms with little to no damage. Every town around me lost power, had trees down, power lines starting fires and a few tornadoes. It was a rough night for many, many people as well as the local weather service, whose phone lines were down making it impossible to receive updates from the field and get warnings out as they normally would. This is happening nationally by the way… after funding was cut for these services, many people have not been warned in time of severe weather. I am grateful for the people that have stayed in those positions and try with all their might to help people be informed. Their frustration and devastation when they can’t warn people has got to be soul crushing at times. Those people rock my face off. Let’s take a look at what else has rocked my face off this past week. Welcome back to Faceless Friday!
Purging. I’m Spring cleaning, yeah I don’t care that it’s almost summer… I live in an old farmhouse so storage is SUPER limited, so my house tends to get overwhelming quickly with piles of stuff here and there. ADHD doom piles, stuff I will “deal with later” but never do because they are lost in piles of whatever. So, I have been working hard at making places for everything again and getting rid of things I no longer need. My plan is to deep clean once everything is purged out. So now we have totes and piles of donation items. A truckload of stuff. I feel good about that, but not good about needing the energy to actually load it up and take it somewhere. Anyway, getting rid of shit rocks.
Taking it Easy. They forced me back into physical therapy for the last 6 weeks and it has been HELL because of course no one wants to listen to the woman that has been dealing with back issues since 19, they want to read off their little programs of what “should work”. So, I have had to do a lot of “okay, cannot do that right now” and “I can sit and do that”. The frustrating thing is I do workout and strength train and have an understanding of what my body can and cannot do to function. If they had listened to me, I wouldn’t have spent the last week crawling around on the floor. I understand it is their job but having to do physical therapy for insurance purposes only is such bullshit. So, listening to my body, taking breaks and not pushing myself, rocks my face off.
Alright, I’m gonna wrap it up here because my mood has taken a deep dive. Here is the round up list for this past week:
Coffee, hazelnut creamer, new music, rain so I didn’t have to water all my plants this week, mindless tv for bad back days, tens units, gummies, the pink stuff cleaning scrub, setting things on fire, good face stuff, my electric bill being under $200 this month, putting myself in timeout when overstimulated, seeing people for who they really are, friends, family, Josie girl, concerts, my kiddo, and you for being here another week. Thanks for joining me.
